Women’s Rights Fellowship II

Women’s Rights Fellowship II

Between June 20 and 27, 2025, the Hardi Cultural Center, in partnership with the international NGOs Un Ponte Per (UPP) and PAX, organized a week-long residential program that brought together young people from across Iraq to strengthen their capacity for advocacy and leadership. The immersive learning experience, led by Dr. Choman Hardi and Dr. Shireen Hussain, combined lectures, discussions, and practical exercises to explore themes such as power dynamics, social structures, effective communication, and international peace and security frameworks. Participants also engaged with topics related to community engagement, social justice, intersectionality, and self-care. The fellowship emphasized a participatory, collaborative, and collective approach to learning, while fostering a supportive environment for participants to reflect, grow, and build connections across diverse backgrounds.
